A BYSTANDER'S face was smashed after he was caught up in a fight at a fast food restaurant in the early hours of the morning.

The 25-year-old man was inside the Burger King in North Street in Brighton when the fracas unfolded on Sunday, July 8 this year.

Police say a fight had broken out outside the restaurant, before spilling inside, and said the man was not involved directly in brawl.

But he suffered fractures and cuts to his face and needed to go to hospital for treatment.

CCTV images of three men were released by police, showing a man in a grey hooded top, a man in a yellow T-shirt, and a man in a red cap.

Detective Constable Aaron Halsey wants anyone who knows the men or who witnessed the incident at 4.45am to come forward and report information on the Sussex Police website, or by calling 101 and quoting reference 352 of 08/07.
