MISSING Brighton mother Tiina Proffitt has been found alive.

The 50-year-old, from the Fiveways area, had been missing since Friday, and a huge search party was launched.

The police helicopter and drones were used, and detectives scoured the city over the weekend but she could not be traced, after being spotted on CCTV at a shop in Woodbourne Avenue, Hollingbury, on the day she left.

She was found this morning by a park ranger at the Waterhall playing fields in Patcham, her daughter Nina, 18, told The Argus.

Mrs Proffitt's family - Nina, son Nic, 24, and her 51-year-old husband Jon said they are "absolutely over the moon".

They thanked friends, family, police and everyone who helped raise awareness of Mrs Proffitt's disappearance through sharing social media posts.
