The fact that the majority of children being exploited for sex due to poverty, lack of housing , drug addiction, according to Barnardo's report The Tip of the Iceberg, are from Brighton and Hove is pretty shaming (The Argus, November 7) As a city we can boast pole dancing clubs, lap dancing clubs, nude sex clubs, fetish clubs, brothels, crack houses and an abundance of girls and boys on the internet selling sex who live in Brighton.

If the hedonistic lifestyle is one which Brighton wishes to continue to promote, the consequences will be dire.

I am trying hand over fist and uphill all the way to persuade the council to move quickly and set up an inner city equestrian centre, perhaps on the Comart site, or in Sheepcote Valley or the surrounding area.

The money would come in.

The goodwill is out there. The children need to do something else other than play football.

If anyone shares my views please get in touch and adopt the attitude "together we can".

I am grateful for the support that has been offered so far.
