I was happy to hear about police banning boozing youngsters from the city's beautiful seafront squares.
When is this going to be extended to the area around West Street?
At the weekend and especially in summer, this area is crawling with drunken youths, and police are out in their droves to control them.
Brighton has always prided itself on being a classy seaside town, yet this area is like a scene out of television programme Ibiza Uncovered.
It's bad enough with the new developments and terrible pub chains that are cropping up. Does no one care that Brighton it losing its identity and turning into another Newquay or Blackpool?
I'm not a killjoy and am happy to see young people enjoying themselves but most weekends this area is full of drunks who are set on fighting and other anti-social behaviour, bringing nothing but embarrassment to our great city.
