I totally agree with local councillors not wanting parking outside Goldstone School and asking people to sign a petition to stop this. I have been asking a long time for the speed limit in nearby Old Shoreham Road between English Close and Hangleton Road to be reduced to 30mph, only to be told that signs have been put up and bushes cut back.
On looking I could find only one 30mph sign on the left-hand side of Old Shoreham Road going into Brighton, about 100 yards past the Stadium public house.
There was another accident along this stretch in September. Luckily no one was killed or maimed. How much longer are we to suffer the torment of cars doing more than 40mph till the early hours of the morning or are we waiting for the big bang?
