Cross-dressing dancers got this spoof tribute show off to a lukewarm start, and the pace only picked up once the inimitable Dr Claus Kuntz (Alistair Kerr) took to the stage.
Glueing this under-rehearsed, drawn out show together, the faux-German host kept audiences in stitches with his double entendres and witty gags about Brighton, Bond Girls and bondage.
There were flashes of talent and inspiration during the evening, notably Richard Pugh, the alcoholic ventriloquist who presented a martini-mixing masterclass to hilarious effect.
But the inclusion of two intervals, a bizarre Jimmy Saville scene and the Roger Moore tapes - a one-trick pony featuring Roger "auditioning" for parts in Taxi Driver, Star Wars and When Harry Met Sally - let it down.
This was a great concept for a show - unfortunately there was not enough commitment to it to leave me shaken or stirred.
