PICTURES show the shell of a boat after fire ripped through it.
The blaze happened in Denton Island in the middle of Newhaven Harbour last night.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue, South East Coast Ambulance, Sussex police and Newhaven Lifeboat were all called to the scene.
Pictures show the extent of damage to the vessel.
The top of the boat appears to be destroyed and the rest of it is blackened and charred.
The boat's name, Sheer Magic, can still be made out.
Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
