It has to be said that Air Afrique were fantastic with us. We got to Accra on Monday both on time and with the minimum of fuss.
The trip from Tripoli to Accra was a little bumpy, in fact at one point the coffee was going everywhere!
Having checked onto our beach front hotel last night we decided to stay put and get a good night's rest.
On Tuesday we got up and had some breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Atlantic.
Lizards were our companions as we encountered around five different varieties running about!
Moving out onto the streets we were amazed to experience no interest from the locals.
This meant we could roam around without any bother.
We have now secured our tickets for the Ivory Coast versus Mali game from a local bank.
It was £7.50 for the best seat in the house!
The lady at the bank has promised to look out for quarter final tickets for us on Sunday.
Ghana are playing in this match and they are like gold dust.
The weather is warm and humid as you would expect. However, the winds are blowing in from the east bringing Saharan sands into the atmosphere.
This makes visibility poor.
We are enjoying our experience so far and are looking forward to Ivory Coast versus Mali this afternoon and then an evening out on the town.
