A gang of youths hacked down trees and set them alight next to bins.
Firefighters from Hove have now been called to the Knoll recreation ground, off Stapley Road, Hangleton, three times in the last week.
Crews were called out again at 10.30pm yesterday where they found branches stacked against bins and set alight.
Firefighters told how the gang has been spotted waiting for the crews to arrive before running off.
