Firefighters were called to tackle a blaze at a house today.
Six fire pumps arrived at the home in Newick Lane, Mayfield, near Crowborough, shortly after midnight.
A 60-year-old woman, who lived at the detached property, was taken to hospital by ambulance for smoke inhalation and a burnt foot.
They extinguished the flames in the two floor property by about 3.30am.
