An abandoned pub has been gutted in a fire that was believed to have been started deliberately.
Sussex Police and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service are investigating the scene today after the blaze tore through the Golden Martlet pub in Station Road, Hellingly, near Hailsham.
Neighbours contacted emergency services at about 2.20am today.
Six fire engines attended the scene and spent more than two hours dousing the flames in the three storey building.
The derelict pub has been empty for the last five years.
