Two children went to a fire station looking for help after managing to clamp themselves together with a bike lock.
Firefighters in Lewes were bemused to see the pair of under 10s wander into the station in North Street at 6.30pm on Friday.
They used a pair of bolt-cutters to chop through the flexi cable and sent the youngsters on their way.
