Police will today continue to question the husband of an award-winning TV make-up artist who is being held on suspicion of her murder.
Eastbourne magistrates granted police a second 36-hour custody extension at 4.50pm yesterday to allow officers to continue holding Diane Chenery-Wickens's husband, David.
An initial extension period, given by magistrates on Friday, had been due to end at 3am today.
Mrs Chenery-Wickens, 48, who has worked on shows including Dead Ringers, The League of Gentlemen and Casualty, was reported missing by her husband on January 24.
On Thursday, Sussex Police said that a 51-year-old man from East Sussex had been arrested on suspicion of her murder.
Police spent yesterday searching land around the couple's home in Duddleswell, near Uckfield.
Two forensic officers, carrying equipment, entered the property shortly before 3pm.
On Friday, police dogs were seen searching woodland near the property.
A tanker was brought in to pump out a waste tank in the garden and a car was removed.
A Sussex Police spokesman declined to reveal what the searches had uncovered so far.
