The husband of missing TV make-up artist Diane Chenery-Wickens has been released on bail, three days after he was arrested on suspicion of her murder.

Mrs Chenery-Wickens, 48, who has worked on shows including Dead Ringers, The League of Gentlemen and Casualty, was reported missing by her husband, David, on January 24.

Police said today that a 51-year-old man from East Sussex, who was arrested on Thursday, was released on bail last night.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "Police will be continuing the search and forensic operations in and around the home address of Mrs Chenery-Wickens on Monday February 4."

Police have spent several days searching the couple's home in Duddleswell, Uckfield, East Sussex, as well as neighbouring land and woodland.

Officers also renewed their appeals for information on Mrs Chenery-Wickens's disappearance.
