As a resident of the London Road area I am pleased to see plans for redevelopment are moving forward.
However, can we please give serious thought to demolishing New England House and the nearby Vantage Point buildings?
These are awful eyesores and with funds from the wider development, surely the council could afford to replace New England House with a modern building to house the businesses currently working there.
We need ambition and imagination for this area. It has great potential and it would be sad to see that potential wasted for another generation.
