With regard to your story headlined "Bowling trip becomes HIV nightmare for girl, two". I'd just like to reassure Joanne Skipper that the likelihood of HIV being passed on to her child in this way is incredibly slim.
Even if the needle had been used by someone with HIV, the virus doesn't live outside the body for long so the chances of Macie being infected in this way are very small indeed. The real risk of HIV in Brighton is still for people who have unprotected sex without knowing the HIV status of their partner.
