It takes a brave man to impersonate Bob Marley but Legend frontman Michael Philips carried it off brilliantly.
His raspy, rough-edged voice was spookily close to the real thing and his band recreated the sound of The Wailers, despite being only half the size.
Kicking off with Exodus, the mixed crowd went wild as soon as they heard the opening chords.
Having come on stage 15 minutes late, the band were determined to catch up, racing through hits One Love and Three Little Birds. But some of the spirit was lost in the process.
Like Marley, Philips tried to awaken the crowd's social consciousness, referring to poverty and war.
Although his stage presence lacked Marley's charisma, he gave it his all during an encore that transformed the venue into a reggae party the legend would have been proud of.
