Is it just me or are the rest of the readers getting a little frustrated by the extremely poor level of service provided by the recycling collections?

It seems a lot of items are not suitable for them to take (meaning a separate trip elsewhere) and when this is the case they would rather decorate my front garden with it rather than place it in the box.

Yesterday, the whole street was littered with items not taken. When I phoned and complained the first excuse was the wind. Well sorry but it happens every other week.

The second excuse was that some of the items may have been too large, presumably the packaging of a toothpaste tube falls into this category?!

Council, it is time for you to pull your finger out. After all, you are supposed to be making Brighton and Hove a cleaner place!
