A PREMIER jewellery brand will open in the city after winning the lease of a prime shop front.

Andra Jewels, which manufacturers jewellery for many brands, has secured 27 Duke Street in Brighton.

The business will operate under the name Seol Gold, a partner company with Andra Jewels, at the 327sqft site, which was previously a restaurant.

Flude Property Consultants, which marketed the lease, said it was pleased with the result.

“The landlords reconfigured the original layout to create a new self-contained retail unit and Andra Jewels look to be a perfect fit for the unit and location, in this busy pedestrianised street,” said Will Thomas, director at Flude.

“This is just the latest in a number of recent retail lettings in the city centre, which seems to be more in demand than ever.”

Andra Jewels covers many areas of jewellery production, including plating, laser welding, and engraving to distribute to businesses.

The company was founded in the mid-1950s and has gone on to become to the UK's largest manufacturer of fine jewellery.

It has been manufacturing from its current location in Hastings since 1959, and has added a site in Birmingham.
