A 23-year-old motorist will appear in court this morning accused of mowing down a child, his mother and two men.
Graham Hart, of Beacon Way, Littlehampton, is set to answer charges of dangerous driving, grievous bodily harm, actual bodily harm at Worthing Magistrates' Court this morning.
It comes after a six year-old boy, his mother and a 42-year-old man were hit by a silver Citroen Saxo at Beach Road, Littlehampton on Saturday.
A 57-year-old male motorcyclist was also injured in the crash.
The 42-year-old is said to be in a "poorly condition" at Southampton General Hospital, the motorcyclist suffered leg injuries and is being treated at Worthing Hospital and the child suffered a broken leg, while his mother sustained head and leg injuries and are being treated at St Richard's Hospital, Chichester.
The car is said to have mounted the pavement in Beach Road before smashing into a garden wall.
