It seemed fitting Low should make their latest visit to Brighton at a place of worship, as almost everyone in the audience was a devotee of the band's formidable back catalogue.

Low has retained a sparse sound and slow tempo throughout their career, but they sounded as spellbinding as ever in the impressive St George's Church.

Guitarist and vocalist Alan Sparhawk hasn't lost his delicate sense of melody, but added a heaviness to beef up old classics such as Canada.

There was also the introduction of drum loops and samples from last year's Drums and Guns LP, which took Low into new territory.

However, they remained at their finest doing what they have consistently done so well for more than a decade.

The gorgeous Sunflowers sent shivers down my spine and cemented Low's status as a unique live draw.
