Thirteen years since Bully uttered his final moo, Jim Bowen was back with a sack of stories from the Bullseye years.
After a brief background on his early years on the North West club circuit, Bowen entertained with cock-ups from his days as king of Sunday teatime TV.
There was the time a man in a wheelchair won a skiing holiday and then the two nervous Irish contestants who drank the backstage bar dry and caused an entire show to be scrapped when they uttered the F word after winning a car.
He occasionally sailed close to the wind with his affectionate jokes about a Bullseye producer who "knew more about soft furnishings than darts" and the fact that Les Dawson's face looked "lived in by a bunch of gypsies".
But, as he said himself, "a man of 70 comes with certain baggage".
