Chief Superintendent Paul Pearce, Sussex Police's divisional commander for Brighton and Hove, puts the 15% fall in recorded crime last year down to the relentless pressure by the police on criminals. Or is he implying that the make-believe community policemen plodding my area are responsible for the fall in recorded crime?
