Three men were arrested after holding up a cash delivery at gunpoint.
They are being questioned after the raid at a BP garage in Gossops Green on the A23 in Crawley at about 11am.
Armed police arrived and arrested the men without firing a shot in an operation led by Sussex Police and the Metropolitan Police.
A firearm was also recovered along with the stolen cash.
