In death, as in life, it was Linda Smith who stole the show in this touring tribute.
Presented by Warren Lakin - her boyfriend of 23 years - actors Mike McCarthy, Kate Rutter and Gwyneth Strong admirably brought to life excerpts of the best work from this immensely talented comedian, writer and broadcaster.
But it was Smith's words that stole the show and the clips of her TV and radio appearances brought the most laughs.
The show was unavoidably sentimental and at times slightly macabre. Kate Rutter (who bore a passing resemblance to Smith) performing a stand-up routine from Smith's 2004 Wrap Up Warm tour made for eerie viewing.
But as a celebration of a remarkable woman, it was impossible not to leave amused, moved and inspired.
