Walking along the seafront after the Bank Holiday Monday sunshine and outdoor drinking sessions, I was dismayed to see a Brighton and Hove City Council sweeper left with rubbish and thousands of empty plastic cups to sweep up outside the seafront bars.
Surely this clearing up job belongs to the bar owners? It's fine to have customers sat outside drinking all day but when it's closing time they should take responsibility for the mess. The cleaning guy had a terrible mess to clear up on his own.
