An appeal has been launched to find a rugby player who went missing while on holiday in Spain.

Levi Davis, who played for Worthing Raiders RFC, has been missing for more than a week after last being seen in an Irish pub in Barcelona.

The winger, who previously played professionally for Bath and previously appeared on Celebrity X Factor, has been missing since Saturday, October 29.

In a statement on Twitter, former club Bath publicised an appeal saying that Davis was last seen at the Old Irish Pub in Barcelona.

The 24-year-old rugby union player is also known for his television appearances and featured on ITV’s Celebrity X Factor in 2019 alongside fellow rugby stars Ben Foden and Thom Evans in a singing group known as Try Star. He was also on E4’s Celebs Go Dating in 2020.

Davis signed for Worthing Raiders in 2021 and featured for the club on a number of occasions. He left the club last season.

A spokesman for Worthing Rugby Club said: "All at Worthing RFC are deeply concerned for Levi and join the calls for anyone that may have seen Levi to please contact findlevidavis@gmail.com"

Many of Davis's former team mates have joined other members of the rugby in expressing their concerns and hoping that he will be found safe and well.

Thom Evans, who appeared with Davis on Celebrity X Factor, wrote in a post on Instagram:

"I'm very worried about the whereabouts of my friend.

"If anyone knows anything please contact the information below."

Davis began playing for Bath Rugby in 2017 before moving to Worthing Raiders after a spell with Championship side Ealing Trailfinders.

A spokesman for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office told the BBC: “We are providing consular support to the family of a British man who has been reported missing in Spain."

Anyone with helpful information to help find Davis is urged to get in contact by emailing findlevidavis@gmail.com.

A GoFundMe has also been set up to cover costs related to finding Davis.
