A van has caught fire at a petrol station with fire crews attending to put out the blaze.

The vehicle caught fire at the BP petrol station in Eastbourne Road in Willingdon this morning singing the front of the van.

Fire crews attended the scene on Tuesday, November 15, and the fire was extinguished.

The bonnet and front lights from the car appear to be significantly damaged by the fire with singe marks across the front of the van.

The windscreen of the vehicle also appears to be fire damaged. It is unclear what caused the van to catch fire.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service have been approached for comment regarding the incident.
