A beauty brand from the city which aims to make skincare “fuss-free” is looking to expand.
Faace was set up in 2020 by Jasmine Wicks-Stephens, from Patcham.
Jasmine, 37, said it started as a “passion project” but has now grown into a successful brand available in 23 countries, as well as stores such as Harrods.
Faace looks to slot into people’s busy working lives by “simplifying skin routines”.
Jasmine, a mother-of-two, found that having young children meant balancing her own skincare routines was more difficult.
She said: “What is out there at the time wasn’t appealing to me as a new mum. When you’re really busy or a mum, those routines which may take longer weren’t really speaking to us.
“We were an all-female office at the time and drew on experiences within our own lives.
"We wanted something slightly different, we came up with a concept of more sustainable sheet mask made of recyclable materials and packaging.
“Our products are supposed to be super fuss-free. If you’re tired, slap this on. If you’re on your period, use this. If you’re sweaty after the gym.
“The mission for us is simplifying skin care routines, we know that while people know they should do a full skin routine but you might not have the time or inclination. So that’s what we’re there for really.
“We have created these easy to use products that are packed with ingredients that help your skin.”
Faace’s products are organic and naturally derived, vegan and they do not test on animals.
The brand is now looking to raise £150,000 through crowdfunding platform Seedrs and wants people to invest.
Jasmine added: “The brand started as a passion project to sit alongside my other business which is in marketing and communications. It was a passion project and we wanted to disrupt the market.
“The beauty industry is huge and so saturated. We have been so fortunate that a lot of retailers have approached us. People like the concept.
“We want our community to be a part of journey, so this gives us the chance to open up our brand to be a part of our brand.”
