Piers Morgan’s Twitter account appears to have been wiped after reports it was hacked.
The TalkTV presenter, who grew up in Sussex and has 8.3 million followers on the social media site, had no profile picture, banner image or posts this morning.
During the hack, his account shared posts containing false information, racial slurs and abusive messages directed at the late Queen.
Piers’ Instagram account appears to not have been compromised.
The broadcaster, who used to present Good Morning Britain, has not spoken publicly about the incident, but his Uncensored show’s Twitter account posted that Piers had been hacked and asked Twitter owner Elon Musk whether he is able to resolve the issue.
Piers is a regular user of Twitter, regularly posting his opinions on a range of topics, including a recent Netflix series featuring the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
It comes after the account of education secretary and Chichester MP Gillian Keegan appeared to be hacked on Christmas Day.
Her account replied to a number of tweets with links to websites advertising cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.
