Here are all the road closures that will be in place on Sunday for the Brighton Marathon.

Around 12,000 are set to take part in the event, which sets off from Preston Park at 9.45am on April 2.

The following roads will be closed from 6am to 12pm

A23 (London Road / Preston Road), closed between The Deneway - New England Road (Preston Circus).

A23 London Road between Carden Avenue -and Preston Drove.

Preston Drove, closed between London Road A23 and Surrenden Road.

Preston Park Avenue between Preston Drove and Stanford Avenue.

The following roads will be closed from 6.30am to 1pm

A23 (London Road / Preston Road / York Place / Gloucester Place / Old Steine) between New England Road (Preston Circus) and Old Steine.

Ditchling Road between St Peter’s Place and Union Road.

North Road between the A23 Gloucester Place and Gardener Street.

Jubilee Street between North Road and New Road.

Church Street between Jubilee Street and the A23 Old Steine.

Richmond Place between Gloucester Place and St Peter’s Place.

St Peter’s Place between Richmond Place and A23 York Place.

Union Road between Ditchling Road and the A270 Lewes Road.

A270 Lewes Road between Gyratory / Melbourne Street and Richmond Place.

Franklin Road between the A270 Lewes Road and Wellington Road.

Wellington Road between Franklin Road and Elm Grove.

Elm Grove between Wellington Road and the A270 Lewes Road.

Grand Parade between Richmond Place and the A23 Old Steine.

The following roads will be closed from 6.30am to 3.30pm

The A259 Marine Parade between Lower Rock Gardens -and Roedean Road

St James’s Street will be closed between 8.30am and 1.30pm between Old Steine and Lower Rock Gardens.

The following roads will be closed from 6.30am to 3pm

A259 Marine Parade between Roedean Road and Nevill Road.

Greenways between A259 and Ainsworth Avenue.

The following roads will be closed from 6.30am to 4pm

The A259 Marine Parade between Lower Rock Gardens and Grand Avenue.

Madeira Drive between Aquarium Roundabout and Duke’s Mound.

The following road will be closed from 6.30am to 4.30pm

The A259 Grand Junction Road / Kings Road /Kingsway between Lower Rock Gardens and Grand Avenue.

The following roads will be closed from 6.30am to 6pm

The A259 Kings Road /Kingsway between Grand Avenue and Montpellier Road.

Holland Road between Alice Street and the A259 Kingsway.

Brunswick Terrace between Holland Road and Lansdowne Place.

Brunswick Square will be closed between 8.30am and 4pm between Brunswick Place and Kingsway.

Grand Avenue between The Drive / Church Road and the A259 Kingsway.

The following roads will be closed between 9am and 6pm

The B2066 Church Road between Grand Avenue and Sackville Road/ Hove Street.

New Church Road between Sackville Road /Hove Street and Boundary Road.

Boundary Road between Frankling Road and Seaford Road.

Seaford Road between Boundary Road and St Leonard’s Road.

St Leonard’s between Seaford Road and New Church.

Saxon Road between New Church Road and Marine Avenue.

Wish Road between New Church Road and Marine Avenue.

Marine Avenie between Saxon Road and Wish Road.

The following roads will be closed from 6.30am to 6.30pm

The A259 Kingsway between Grand Avenue and Wharf Road.

Wharf Road between the A259 Kingsway and Basin Road South.

Basin Road South, full length.

Esplanade between Western Esplanade and the Peace Statue.

The cycle path along A259 Kingsway and pavement between Wharf Road and Hove Street will also be closed to cyclists during these hours.
