Tributes have been paid to a mum who died after being found seriously injured at her home.

Emily Baldwin died on Saturday in hospital after she was found with serious injuries in Cowley Drive, Woodingdean, on Thursday.

Emergency services were called to the address shortly before 5pm that day after concerns were raised for the welfare of a woman.

A 47-year-old man from Newhaven was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and released on bail with strict conditions while enquiries continue.

On Tuesday, police confirmed a post-mortem investigation had proved inconclusive and said further tests would be carried out to “determine the cause of death”.

Fundraising pages have now been set up in memory of the mother of three who has been described as “beautiful”.

On her JustGiving page Lisa Rickett, who is raising money for Emily’s children, said: “I know no amount of money can change what’s happened or bring their mum back but I’m hoping that with everyone’s generosity they could do something in the future in memory of their beautiful mum Emily.

“I want the whole family to know we are here for them all as and when they need our support.

“Please dig deep and share wide so we can raise as much as possible for these three children.

“I thank everyone in advance.

“RIP Emily - gone but never forgotten.”

Donors who have given money to the page, which has so far raised £565, expressed their condolences to Emily’s family.

One said: “Sending all the love in the world to Emily’s children and family.”

Another said: “Just heart breaking. My love goes out to the children and family.”

Monty Cummings said: “Such a tragedy. So sorry for their loss.”

A second fundraiser has been organised on Gofundme by Kirsty Holland, which has so far raised £315.

Emily’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Anyone with information which may assist with the investigation is asked to contact Sussex Police online or by calling 101 quoting Operation Bradwall.
