Traffic in the centre of Brighton has ground to a standstill after an accident in which a car flipped onto its side.
Emergency services were called to the Level near St Peter's Church, opposite the Phoenix Gallery at 4.38pm.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident. One of which was left on its side.
A black Volkswagen Golf is trapped beneath a blue Vauxhall Corsa which has been flipped onto one side.
Nobody was trapped but one male was taken to hospital. His condition remains unclear.
Police have stopped traffic travelling south into Brighton, leaving much of the city gridlocked.
