A live art competition which lets the audience choose their favourite pieces is set to come to the city for an "unforgettable" evening.

The team behind unique art exhibitions in never-before-seen spaces in Brighton are bringing a new interactive event to the burgeoning art scene in the city.

Twelve artists will battle it out over three rounds of live painting at the Brighton Bier Brewery tap room this weekend - and the audience gets to choose their favourite through a unique mobile phone app.

Host Kirsteem Adams, part of the Do Not Obstruct gallery, said: "We have always enjoyed throwing a party and often felt that an Art Battle could combine everything we love most, Art, music & good beer.

"A live art tournament at Brighton Bier Brewery Tap room is something we have never been done and Brighton has yet to experience.

"We pride ourselves in bringing new and exciting energy to the local art scene. It is going to be thrilling because it combines the spontaneity of creativity with the competitive spirit, offering both artists and the audience a unique and unforgettable experience.

"Inviting local talented artists to compete not only fosters a sense of camaraderie but also showcases the incredible artistic diversity of our region, a night filled with surprises, as artists showcase their skills in real-time, making it an engaging and dynamic event for everyone involved."

The tournament will take place from 6pm on Saturday.
