One of Brighton Station’s secret tunnels was transformed into an audio-visual immersive art installation.

The Victoria Cab Road tunnel was originally built for horse-drawn taxi to take passengers to the station’s platforms and still has the cobbled road surface of the time.

But at the weekend the 80-metre long space hosted an intense exhibition of dazzling, colourful strobe lights and LEDs set to futuristic soundscapes.

Only A Few Find The Way was created by Chinese artist Guan and Thomas Buckley for this year’s Dreamy Place, formerly Brighton Digital Festival.

It explores how disused spaces can be reimagined and the artists say the piece should be treated as “guided meditation” to reach “calm or clarity”.

Hundreds ventured deep into the tunnel from Friday to Sunday to catch a glimpse of the exhibition before the doors closed once again on one of the city’s many hidden gems.
