A railway line was blocked this morning as emergency services dealt with an incident.

Services could not run to Seaford and Bishopstone just after 7am due to concerns for a man's welfare.

Sussex Police apprehended the man and services were back to normal just before 9am.

A Southern spokesman said: “One of our on board supervisors raised the alarm this morning, shortly after 7am, saying he was concerned for the welfare of a man.
