Brighton has been named one of the best UK seaside destinations for people to visit in 2024.
The city is one of the top three UK beach destinations for Brits to visit this year according to Madeleine Bunting, author of The Seaside: England's Love Affair.
The travel expert told The Sun our city is one of the best, with the other top two seaside destinations being Bournemouth and Margate.
While most people tend to go on beach holidays abroad, the publication reported that, since Covid, seaside towns in the UK are on the rise again for both tourists and people moving there.

The article describes Brighton as a great place to visit regardless of the weather.
It praises its rows of colourful shops, old houses and The Southern Belle - "a characterful boutique hotel further west along the seafront".
It also lists Rockwater in Hove and The Salt Room as two good restaurants to go to on a visit to the city.
