Four men have been arrested on suspicion of carrying firearms after a ten-mile police chase.

The men, aged between 21 and 30, were seen on the A23 travelling southbound near Pyecombe at around 6pm on Saturday.

The Ford Focus failed to stop for police and was chased onto the A27 eastbound where it crashed at Southerham Roundabout near Lewes.

The occupants jumped out of the car but were tracked by a police helicopter and stopped by officers on foot.
