A popular tulip festival will return this year.

Arundel Castle will be hosting the annual event across the month of April with more than 100,000 tulips in the castle grounds.

The festival, which is one of Europe’s leading tulip showcases, will also feature more than 120 varieties of the flower.

Among those are the Foxy Foxtrot, Purple Passionale, White Triumphator, Angelique, Madame Lefeber, Curly Sue, and Flaming Spring Green.

These have been prepared and planted by head gardener Martin Duncan and his team.

Martin said: "We are delighted to once again host the iconic Tulip Festival at Arundel Castle.

"Our team has dedicated countless hours throughout the winter to craft a stunning tulip display that is sure to captivate visitors of all ages.

"This includes six new multi-tiered displays containing over 6,000 tulips.

"We encourage everyone to join us and witness first-hand the joy & beauty that these tulips bring to our majestic castle, gardens and grounds."

Tickets will be £15 per adult and £7 per child, with children under five-years-old allowed to enter for free.

The event will run for the majority of the month.
