RSPCA Sussex: 5 pets who are looking for new homes

Whether you want to adopt a dog, cat, rabbit or guinea pig, there is plenty of choice.

A few animals from the branch are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

Louie

Gender - Male

Age - Six years old

Breed - Shar-Pei crossbreed

Colour - Brindle

Louie is described as a "very intelligent" and "determined" dog who loves to play with toys and spend time on water.

He is also very sensitive as he doesn’t like loud noises, wind or heavy rain, and will flinch at sudden movements.

Louie accepts handling really well from the people he trusts but takes a while to warm up to new people.

He is looking for an experienced, adult-only home with one or two people as he would not cope with a busy household.

Ralph

Gender - Male

Age - Two years old

Breed - Cane Corso

Colour - Cream/Brindle

Ralph came into the care of the RSPCA as his owner could no longer take care of him.

When he arrived he was very anxious and required some quite in-depth behaviour training alongside an operation to fix a severe eye condition.

The RSPCA adds: "During his time with us Ralph has matured from a worried adolescent into a big, cheeky, young adult. There is still a way to go with Ralph but we are hoping he can continue his training in a new home."

He will ideally need to be the only pet in the home but depending on circumstances could live with a large female dog.

Quincy

Age - Six to 12 months old

Breed - Crossbreed

Colour - Brown

Quincy came into the care of the RSPCA as part of a large group of 83 animals that were taken in.

She is described as quite shy and is not keen on being picked up as she will try and wriggle out of it.

The RSPCA adds: "We are looking for a calm home for Quincy with a gentle neutered male rabbit for company."

Nibbles and Dinky

Age - Two years old

Breed - Lop

Colour - White/ White and Black

Nibbles and Dinky came into the shelter as their owner could no longer care for them, and are now looking for their forever home.

The RSPCA adds: "We are looking for a home for them to go together but without other animals in the home, if possible.

"They can be spooked easily so would be better in an adult home or a home with older children who are used to rabbits."

Neither of them are used to being picked up but they are improving with it as time goes on.
