A new mobile wood-fired sauna has opened at a beach.

Seaside Sauna welcomed its first customers to Beach Green, along Lancing seafront, on March 25.

Owner Frazer Stewart, 57, said he hopes the sauna will bring "like-minded" people together.

He said: "It’s a community driven health and well-being initiative.

"Health, wellbeing and community spirit are at the forefront of our business.

"Lots of people use the sea at Lancing and enjoy our gorgeous beach, the sauna will bring friends, families and the community together to enjoy a sauna together all year round."

Despite being open for less than a week, Frazer said the reaction from the community has been "amazing" so far.

People can book the sauna sessions online, with the option of both private and social slots.

Private sessions cost £80 per hour for up to eight people while social sessions are priced at £15 per person.

Children over five can use the sauna if they are accompanied by an adult.

As well as the sauna, the new business also has a cold water plunge bath for customers to use.

According to Everyday Health, these cold plunge baths can help with physical recovery and mood, as well as helping to reduce pain from long-term conditions.

The sauna is the first to open along this stretch of the seafront.

Opening times will be seven days a week from 10am until 10pm.
