Eight places in Sussex have been ranked among the top towns for commuting to London.

The ranking, created by The Telegraph with the help of estate agent Savills, features Brighton, Lewes and Haywards Heath in the top 100.

It ranked cities, towns and villages based on house prices, number of schools rated good and outstanding by Ofsted and rail season ticket cost.

Other factors included the number of pubs, cafes and restaurants in the area and how close it is to green spaces and the beach.

In 60th place was Haywards Heath. The town was praised for the number of green spaces nearby, including Ashdown Forest.
