Fake smoke will billow from a former nightclub next week when it will be transformed into a bomb factory for filming.
The former PopWorld club in West Street, Brighton, will be used as a filming location by ITV crews for two days of shooting on May 7 and 8.
The club, which closed on New Year’s Eve 2022, will be transformed into a bomb factory for filming of the fifth series of Grace.
In a letter to residents, a spokesman for the production team said: “On Wednesday, May 8, the premises of 59 West Street will be used as a set for a fake bomb factory.
“As part of a special effects scene there may be smoke from the building throughout the day.
“We are advising residents in the area to not be alarmed or contact emergency services if you see smoke from the building.”
The new series of Grace began filming earlier this year and has set up in locations across Brighton and Sussex.
The show, heading into its fifth season, is based on Peter James’s best selling Roy Grace detective novels. John Simm will reprise his role as the titular detective alongside Richie Campbell.
