Two people were taken to hospital after an assault at a coffee shop.
A window pane at the Down To Earth coffee shop in St James's Street, Brighton, was left shattered amid the altercation.
Police said a man in his 20s was assaulted inside, and another woman assaulted nearby by a group of men on Sunday afternoon.
Officers - some with firearms - set up a cordon around the front entrance of the shop after police were called at about 5.30pm. The business stayed closed for the rest of the day.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: "The two victims were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
"Enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances of the incident, and we are keen to speak with anyone with information."
