So it is officially 1 week since shows started.

I have been flitting around going to lots of rehearsals and things. I haven't seen too many final shows but I really enjoy seeing behind the scenes and checking up on the venues etc. I have been doing the rounds and making sure all is calm, been doing a few radio interviews if you have heard them too?

So far so good, the Fringe green room has seen a steady flow of performers and reviewers since it opened last Sunday, some are old hat, know what they are doing so they don't need help, but some are like rabbits in headlights and look like they need a hug! We try our best to make them feel good and give them as much advice on how to make their shows a success.

The people I have seen in back stage rehearsal action include - Moving Melvin Brown (the most amazing laugh and personality in the world...I want to put him and Francesca in my pocket and keep them for good, they are truly two of the loveliest people ever!); Brighton Beach Boys - went to the rehearsal up at St George's Church for some goose-bump inducing harmonies and I'm going to see them tomorrow (sat 10th); Fear of Projection with Drew (Barrymore) at the Friends Meeting House; and been chatting with Brian Mitchell from the Treason Show and Richard Harris from Final Cut about their 24 hour Fringe film making competition (results Sunday night); and lastly, I caught up with The Penny Dreadful.

The RSPB event at the Sealife Centre was all about plastic in the sea; if you go to the beach it's amazing how much rubbish there is and they are trying to highlight to us that we should all be helping to remove it and become a bag free city - apparently almost every sea bird has a piece of plastic in its guts - I joined, now I give £5 a month to save the birds!

As far a gossip goes it's been very quiet on that front. I will try and make some or at least report back on anything that I find out!
