More than just an alluringly alliterative title, the theme of Zoe Lyons’ new show is clearly heartfelt.
The Brighton comic knows vegetarianism is the moral option, but can’t help coming over all lusty when talking about meat, which she enjoys so rare “it had plans just before it landed on the plate”.
She feels guilty about flying so much, but after a hellish – environmentally-friendly – journey from Glasgow to London, will never ever travel Megabus again.
Like most of us, she’s confused.
Though more polished than last year’s show, the material remains fairly pedestrian. Lyricism tends to outweigh genuine witticism.
Her strength lies in her throaty, mischievous, frenetic delivery – in full-throttle, cross-eyed, comedy caricature mode, Lyons is a live act to behold.
