Fiance banned from love nest
10:20am Thursday 14th August 2008 in News By Naomi Loomes
Adam Hinton and Kerry Norris have fallen foul of Brighton and Hove City Council
The fiancé of a woman who was fined for being too noisy in bed has been banned from going within 100 metres of their love nest.
Adam Hinton, 32, was served an injunction by a court banning him from visiting Kerry Norris.
Council officers applied for the order after Hinton was accused of threatening people who lived in Norris’s block.
The injunction was slapped on Hinton days after his 29- year-old partner was fined for having such a noisy sex life it kept her neighbours awake.
Norris, of Bramble Way, Brighton, was fined £200 and ordered to pay £100 costs for breaching a noise abatement order after neighbours complained to Brighton and Hove City Council about her shouting loudly during allnight sex sessions.
Norris, who lives in a onebedroom flat, woke up her neighbours and upset children living in the block with the sound of her headboard repeatedly banging against the wall.
Residents said they had to take time off work because of sleepless nights. The council said it had to move some of the people into temporary accommodation.
After two years of complaints the council took Norris to court last Thursday.
Yesterday the injunction against Hinton, of Richmond Place, Brighton, was granted at Brighton County Court. He arrived in court wearing a dark suit and was accompanied by Norris.
The injunction says Hinton will not be allowed within 100 metres of flats 74- 84 Bramble Way. It prohibits him from conducting threatening behaviour or abuse or causing nuisance or annoyance to residents and also prohibits him from approaching any of the witnesses involved in the case against Norris.
District Judge Gamba said: “The first part of that is preventing you from doing something you shouldn’t be doing anyway.” The judge warned Hinton that if he was found within 100 metres of Norris’s flat he would be immediately arrested.
Hinton, who was not legally represented, accepted the terms of the injunction which will last for the next 21 days.
He said: “I guess that’s the way it has to work without legal representation.”
He will reappear in court with legal representation to find out whether he faces a year-long injunction on September 3.

We knocked that on the head years ago. We cut out all the noise and effort by simply ripping each others clothes off, get into bed and then lay there and light a smoke up.
