While conservationists argue that a second runway at Gatwick would cause huge environmental damage and misery for nearby residents, business leaders believe expansion is essential for the region’s economic future.

The Gatwick Diamond project, a joint venture led by the West Sussex Economic Partnership and supported by Government, is tasked with improving growth in the area around the airport.

Unsurprisingly, expansion at Gatwick is seen as key to achieving these aims.

Tomorrow Jeremy Taylor, chief executive of Cadia, the Diamond’s business association, will be answering questions on why they are confident a second runway can and should be built, with minimal damage to the environment and maximum benefits to the economy.

You can send him your own questions by visiting The Friday Inquisition section of this website.

Mr Taylor will be answering questions between 12.30pm and 1.30pm tomorrow and the best will be published in Saturday's Argus.
