A security guard was taken to hospital after an attempted robbery at a bank. The worker was attacked at a branch of Barclays Bank in The Street, Rustington, near Littlehampton, at 9.43am today.
He needed treatment after the robber squirted a liquid over him but was not thought to have been seriously injured.
The robber, described as a black man, is believed to have driven away without taking anything.
There may have been two other people with him as he made his escape.
