As a regular visitor to Brighton and an ex-resident, I wonder what has happened to the city.
Roads are gridlocked by out-of-sequence traffic lights, part-time working on never-ending roadworks, cycle lanes and bus lanes. The A259 has become a disaster. Longridge Road, in Saltdean, is now blighted by a development of flats.
Brighton and Hove City Council still seems to be insisting that the King Alfred redevelopment should go ahead when all everyone wants is a leisure centre.
London Road seems to be full of street drinkers and junkies.
The parking charges are extortionate.
There is graffiti everywhere and the seafront shelters are unpainted and dirty. The list just goes on and on.
